Floortje Urgert
Hi I'm Floortje (Flo). I take interest in illustrating, writing and set or prop design. I'm currently studying Illustrated & Animated Storytelling at St Joost School of Art and Design in Breda (the Netherlands). I followed the minor 'graphic novel' at the same school.
I mostly work with analoge materials, like watercolors, but also enjoy working in 3D. In most of my projects I experiment with combining analoge work with digital work. I get inspiration from nature, supernatural and paranormal stories, good music and everything that has to do with fantasy.
My work often tells stories with subjects that I find important or interesting. Such as being able to be yourself. I am interested in subjects where there is no right or wrong. Things like grief, something that everyone experiences differently, or the paranormal, something everyone has different opinions about. You can put your own experience, opinion or creativity in those subjects. That way, there is always a part of you in your work.
