Floortje Urgert
Hi, I'm Floortje (Flo). I'm interested in illustrating, writing, and set or prop design. I'm currently studying Illustrated & Animated Storytelling at St. Joost School of Art and Design in Breda (the Netherlands), where I also followed the 'Graphic Novel' minor.
I mostly work with analog materials, like watercolors, but I also enjoy working in 3D. In many of my projects, I experiment with combining analog and digital techniques. I get inspiration from nature, supernatural and paranormal stories, good music, and everything related to fantasy.
My work often tells stories about subjects that I find important or interesting, such as being able to be yourself. On top of that, I am also interested in topics where there is no clear right or wrong, like grief or the paranormal. These are things everyone either experiences or sees differently. You can put your own experience, opinion or creativity into those subjects. That way, there's always a part of yourself in your work.
