Since the graphic novel is in Dutch, I've included an English summary here:
June died after a tragic accident at eighteen years old. Four years later, her ghost still lingers on earth. She believes that it's because she never got the chance to tell her best friend, Tyler, that she loved him while she was still alive.
Now, as a ghost she tries to get his attention by leaving hints, hoping that he will be able to let go of her spirit, allowing her to move on. But they are in  different stages of grief. Tyler has moved on with his life, while June struggles to accept that she will never get her old life back.
The situation escalates as Tyler starts to become afraid of the ghost haunting his apartment, he wants it gone. Desperately, he tries to exorcise the ghost. June finally sees the truth: it's her who needs to move on. Tyler can't let go while she's still there. Deep down, he knows the ghost is June, but he can't face the truth. While Tyler is still focused on the exorcism, June finally accepts her death and feels herself slowly drifting away from the earth.
This story is about grief and the acceptence of death. I wanted to show that grieving is okay. There's no right or wrong way to go through it, it's personal and different for everyone. Since grief is something we all experienced at some point, I hope people can resonate with the story.
