Mushroom (2024)
Another one of my contributions for the installation my classmate and I made about the beauty of nature (see mechanical flower) is this mushroom. It is made out of cardboard, chicken wire and paper-mache and it is 1.15 m tall.
The point of the installation was to make people feel small in nature. We, as a society, often act like we're bigger than nature and continue to take more and more of its space. But in reality, nature is so much bigger than all of us.
We enlarged everything in this installation so that it would cause a sense of insignificance when people walked through it, making change feel possible. The installation had an impact on our audience and hopefully brought back a sense appreciation and connection to nature.

Project 'The end of the world' | Globe (2023)

In 2023, I created a project about the end of the world, or more specifically, asteroids. I researched different ways the world could end, and the idea of an asteroid colliding with Earth interested me the most. It also seemed like the most likely scenario to me. I did research on asteroids and imagined what such an event might look like. The globe on the left is the result of that idea.
